We will be upgrading several packages and the kernel of our primary database server this evening. This requires the machine to be rebooted following the installation to reload the modules list. We expect an outage of no more than five minutes during this reboot.

If the machine has not rebooted correctly we will switch our system over to the backup database server.

We appologise for the inconvinence. This upgrade is to ensure that our systems run the latest software technology and are as secure as possible. This upgrade has been successful on our development and testing machines.
